- The Watch Hill is situated in Reary More. It is a very high hill,and forms part of the high road. Standing on the top of this hill there is a great view of the surrounding country, There is a plantation of trees on one side,and a large limestone quarry at the end. The Watch Hill got this name from watching the movements of the army of the enemy encamped on another hill in Derry called the "Mushroom Hill". There is a story told that on one very dark night a soldier stood on the Watch Hill,and struck a flint which was in use then. The soldiers(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
