Ar an leathanach seo

  1. The folk prayers or charms used in connection with the various cures - cancer, head fever, heart fever, mote in the eye, cattle diseases, ring worm etc. are the only folk prayers or charms said now. "In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost" is the usual one.
    The Irish people in this district always prayed for the dead. "Pater and Ave" for grandfathers etc.
    The rosary was usually ended with the words "Let us pray for our grandfathers and grandmothers, uncles and aunts, brothers and sisters, friends and relations and all the poor creatures that have no one to pray for them.
