custom is to go into a plot of cabbage with your eyes shut and pull a head of cabbage on that night. Then take it home and leave it over the door. The first person who comes into the house next morning will be the wife or husband of the person who pulled the head of cabbage.
The feast of St. Martin's which occurs in November is celebrated by the local people. It is customary to kill a fowl and sprinkle the blood in the four corners of the house. These are the principal feasts of the year with which customs are connected locally.
