There is no custom observed on Holy Thursday. On Good Friday almost every person goes to the Church and does stations of the Cross. Some people do not speak for three hours on that day in honour of the 'Three Hours' which Our Saviour was on the Cross.
Easter Saturday is considered a great day for going to town. On Easter Sunday morn it is said that the sun dances in the sky. People eat a lot of eggs on that day as it is the custom.
It is said that it is not right to go near water, such as a river, lake or bog-hole on Whit Sunday or on Whit Monday, as it is unlucky.
On May Day people make an altar in honour of the blessed Virgin and put 'May flowers', as primroses are locally called, around it. A stick is stuck also in front of each door and a bunch of primroses tied on it. It is called the 'May-pole'
