(continued from previous page)The Tomtit takes advantage of the holes in the walls and in one of these she builds her nest. She builds it with moss and feathers and in it she lays five blue eggs.
The swallow builds a comfortable nest in a barn or shed. She builds it with hay and mud and to make it cosy for her young she lines it thickly with feathers and hair. She lays five white eggs with brown spots on them.
The Gold - finch builds her nest on top of a hazel tree in a hazel wood. She builds it with moss and wood and lines it with feathers and hair, and it she lays five white eggs with brown spots on them.
Like the Tomtit the Yellow Hammer builds in a hole in a wall. Her nest is made of moss and hair, and in it she lays three blue eggs.
The Lark builds her nest in a bog well hidden under a tuft of grass or heather. She builds it with heather and withered grass and in it she lays five brown eggs.
