- There was an old house about 70 yards south of where Jim Dudley's house is at present in Cill Mhichíl. There was a man and his wife living in it. One Sunday they set off to go to mass. There was a landlord in Baile 'n Chalaidh at the time and they used call him Sean Óg. The two were going along, and as they were passing along the old path east towards the shore a little to the south of Paddy Healy's house in that village (Baile 'n Chalaidh) Seán Óg saw them and he told them to go home again. They said they wouldn't. He told them again to go home but still they insisted on going to mass. When he saw that they weren't going to stop he fired at the man and he shot him in the leg. The man's wife went down on her knees and she cursed him saying -
Ar chasadh na stiúrach go gcastar a tonn (tún) ort.Some time afterwards Seán Óg was either going to town or coming from(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
