- The games I play are football, tennis, spinning tops, marbles, skittles, blind man's buff, jack stones, frog jump, rings, cards, hand ball, draughts.
Hand ball is played in an alley, it is generally played by six people, three each side, the game is played to 21.
Football is played in a field there are two goals on each side, and 22 men, 11 on each side. Tops are played on the road. They are flogged with whips. Marbles are played on a smooth ground, one boy will leave a marble on the ground and the other will try to hit it with an-other marble. Blind man's buff is played by a few people and a blind is put over one of the players eyes and he tries to catch the other players. Frog jump is played by one person bending down his back and another player jumps over him. There can be a good many games played with cards, such as, twenty five, fifteen, maid, beggar your neighbour. In twenty five(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
