He was a very old man and he used to go from house to house but he never begged for anything. He was drawing the pension at Durrus and he used to drink the value of it. He was a great storyteller and he used to visit special houses. He died some time ago at Mr. Sullivan's house near Durrus and he was buried in Bantry.
One evening when night was falling he was going through a valley when he met a woman who invited him for supper. Having eaten a meal of fish and potatoes they spent some time talking.
