- Mass Rock - (reputed)Location. On farm of Mrs. William Hurley Buckaree, Ballineen.Rock lies a stone's throw west of Manch - Bantry Line road at the place where the Ahakeera road (via Neill's Bridge) joins it. Fifteen-twenty feet from southern face of cliff north of this Ahakeera road.The rock is about five feet high, and is roughly cubical. The top is fairly smooth and regular, and is about ten or fifteen degrees from horizontal. The surrounding ground was higher and more level until about twenty years ago when the scree of which it is composed was drawn upon for road metal.

"When we had the contract of the Line (refers to road from Manch North to Bantry Line") we drew a great lot of stones from under that cliff.
