  1. Fairs are usually held in towns and villages. Sometimes buyers visit a farmers' house on the evening before the fair and buy whatever animals the farmer have to sell.
    There were many fairs held formerly which are not now continued. These fairs were held near castles.
    The town fairs are held in a field near the town. Every fair day people who have cattle for sale have to pay some money on each animal sold. Sixpence is paid for a cow and threepence for a calf. Mr Cronin gathers this money.
    for a man who at one time purchased the rights, namely Mr. Pomeroy a Vetinary Surgeon. He lives in Mount Leader House.
