In olden times the lucky days appointed by people to get married were Tuesday Thursday and Saturday. Marriages generally take place in shrove. At that time the people were very old fashioned, the party usually arrived at the church in a sidecar. When leaving their home the usual custom was to throw an old boot after the car for luck. After the marriage ceremony took place while the married couple are leaving the church rice and yellow meal was thrown on them.
Then there is a party given at the brides home. In the evening the married couple and their friends went for a long drive through the country on horses and sidecar and they took musical instruments with them to play along the road. When they returned home that night they had a big dance until morning.
