- For a burn that is difficult to cure get the bark of the elm, put it into a vessel with some water and allow it to 'draw' and then cool when you have a thick jelly-like substance. This, when applied to a burn is very healing.
If a person is suffering from 'yellow jaundice', get the droppings of sheep and boil with milk. When strained give to drink to the patient.
If an animal is suffering from 'Red Water', get the bark of the oak, boil and give the extract to the animal to drink.

"A worm in a calf" a calf suffering from a 'gripe' can be cured by making 'cleas-na-péiste' - three times over him.
Bleeding from a cut can be stopped by placing a 'rib-leaf' on the cut.
If a cow is suffering from a 'worm' in the tail - cut the tail so that it will bleed, then apply salt, and tie a cloth around the cut.
