There once lived in Kerry, a man, named Seán Burns.
Seán was noted for his strength, but he had a brother
much stronger.
One day Seán and his brother, were carting potatoes,
from a wet, soft garden, the horse was unable to pull
his load, owing to the state of the ground. They unharnessed
the horse. Seán's brother and himself often pulled a
load from this garden before, but on this occasion Seán
went to pull the load, while his brother pretended to assist
him, by pushing the cart from the back. Seán pulled the
load, but his brother instead of giving him assistance
from the back of the cart, was actually pulling against
him. When they reached sound ground, the brother
said "I never thought I had such a strong brother,
because I was pulling all the time against you, he
answered "this leaves you without a brother," and at that moment
he fell dead.- Bailitheoir
