The cuckoo comes to us early in April and goes in July. The hen cuckoo never builds a nest of her own she lays her eggs in another birds nest and when the young cuckoo is hatched it takes all the food and pushes the other birds out of the nest.
The weather is judged by the crying of the curlews.
People say that the crying of the curlews is followed by rain.
It is very nice to hear all the different birds sing in the summer time.- Bailitheoir
