They then got a sieve with smaller holes and shook the grain again, then they gathered it up and it was quite clean.- Kildorry has its graveyard situated close at hand, and like other graveyards has some history attached to it. The graveyard usually grew up around a church or a monastery, the inhabitants of which were first to bury their dead there. The people then followed their example and they buried their friends and relatives there.In the graveyard in Kildorrery there is still to be seen the remains of an old church. Some of its walls are standing. There is a doorway in one of the walls and strange figures are cut out on ornamented stones surrounding the door. There is a hole in the wall just inside for holy water. The church is built of red sandstone and around the door and in the corners ornamental stones were used. Many of these stones were pulled down from time to time and used as tombstones. In the past the old church was(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
