- Not far from my home, there is a blessed well. it is situated in the townland of Garrylawrence.
There is large statue of St Lawrence immediately over the well. it is now disfigured with the, but still one can discern some ancient writings on it.
It is often visited by people pf the surrounding district.
On the 15th day of the August, crowds of people visit the well, They pray devoutly, and after special prayer to the patron saint of the well.
Emblems are generally left by the well, by those who visit it.
The water of that well will never boil, when used.
Two men who were cutting timber, within close proximity of the well, decided, one day, to boil the water from it, for tea, but they were greatly disappointed as the water would not boil.
