- John Carter was a basket-maker and cradle-maker. He lived in a little house in Ballyoran, Castlelyons, Co. Cork. He was succeeded by his son, his grandson, and his great-grandson is at present working away making baskets in a cottage in Ballyoran.(continues on next page)
