- There was a certain man in the parish of Kilmeedy and in the townland of Bohard his name was Mick Harrold and he used to lift great stones, he used to carry a plough on one of his shoulder and a harrow on the other shoulder, from one garden to another about quarter of a mile away. One day he was going to Ballyroe mill with two twenty - stone bags of wheat in his donkey and car. The donkey was not able to pull the load up Kilmeedy hill. He untackled the donkey fom the car and he himself pulled the car and the bags of wheat up the hill and down the hollow.
