- The Fianna it is said were a band of warriers trained for fighting and many great deeds were done by the Fianna.
There is a place in Co Limerick called Knockfierna where the Fianna spent a lot of their time hunting and feasting and Fionn di great deeds there is a story how their were hunting on a hill and they met a deer and he ran towards the river near a cave and silver treads hanging, out of it. Whosoever touch tread would go to the bottom of the river. There was a man named Gaol Mac Morna and he heard the cry of the haunds out side the cave and he made quicly down acroos the river.
