    Once upon a time a man saw a mermaid and he began talking to her, then he noticed a cap on her head. He then took the cap off her head and it is said that mermaids never go into the water without their caps, and he would not give her the cap, so she went with him to his house and they got married, and had four children.
    The man used to keep the cap up stairs. She saw it and she got it and went outside the door, and mad a roar and off she went and was seen no - more.
