Ar an leathanach seo
- There are lots of forts and lises in this district but there is one of these an old moat of which is sometimes taken great notice of by the people. It is situated on a hill overlooking Loughgur cross. It is about twenty yards long and fifteen in width and it is shaped in a circular position.
Now this old moat is supposed to be haunted by the fairies and good people. At night, lights may be seen flashing round the place and some people are afraid to walk on the hill by night.
