Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Once upon a time a clan of people known as "The Terrys" roamed the country. They were a sort of robbers who went from place to place stealing guns and ammunition which they hid in bog-holes and other such places. It is said that there is a large amount of guns hid in the "Silver Hole" (a sort of well which is situated a short distance from my home). These robbers lived mostly in lonely places during the day-time and they robbed the country-side at night. They amused themselves in the daytime by playing games. One of their favourite games was firing at a target (a black-board with a bull's eye on it) There is no account of what time those people lived.
I, Peg Kennedy, Ballycasey, Borrisokane heard this from Michael Kennedy who heard it from Andy Ryan Ballyrourke, Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary. (the latter is dead)
