  1. One time there was a strange man in this parish. His name was Mick Hogan. There was a leipreachán living in a fort in Mr. Starr's field. One day Mick Hogan went into the fort to see the leipreachán. Mick knew the leipreachán had a lot of gold. The leipreachán took Mick Hogan into the fort. They both sat down and the leipreachán started to mend boots. Mick Hogan saw a big bag hanging up and he said to himself that it might be the gold. He kept looking at the gold and when he saw that the leipreachán was not looking, he put his hand on the bag. He stood up to go out with the bag of gold. The leipreachán saw the bag of gold in his hand, and he followed Mick for the gold. He caught Mick by the back of the neck and laid him stretched on the ground. He took the gold from Mick. Mick was so frightened that he became unconcious. He recovered after some time and he went home. He told the
