- The local fairs are held in Fethard and Clonmel every month. Fethard fair is held on the street. There is a fair green, but the fair is never held there. There are two fairs in the year called "old fairs". At these fairs sixpence a head is charged on all cattle leaving the fair. The money is kept by the town commission.
In Cloneem there is a field called the "green". It is situated in the village and at the back of the church and school. This field was the fair green long ago.
