- The "stone field" why it is called this name is because there is a lot of stones in it.
"The Rocky" because it is covered with big rocks.
"The furze field" becauce in one half there are furze growing.
"The little island". It's a small field with water all round it.
There is a field about two miles from Cloneen and there is a trench down underground where soldiers used to hide long ago it is called the "dug out". It is the property of O'Shea's, Anner House, and it is also at the foot of the mountain.I was once living on the mountain and I know of a field called "the boat field" it is in the shape of a boat. There is a field about a quarter of a mile from here. It is about five fields from the road and it is called "the black pit" because there is a sand-pit in the corner,(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
