  2. There are twenty-one families in the townland of Clonagoose, and seventy-nine people. There are five thatched houses in Clonagoose, three iron roofed houses and the remainder slated.
    Some of the land is upland and good and part is lowland. There is no wood, no lake, nor stream. Shelly is the most common name.
