    a feast in the banquet-house. The king lifted his glass and said, "Let us drink a toast to these two brave men who saved my daughters." "No" said the third princess, standing in the door, "but let us drink a toast to this man who saved the three of us," and she told him the whole story. The king was very wicked and he left the whole kingdom to Jack. Jack however was kind. He asked the king would he be content to give the three daughters an equal share, and the youngest in marriage to himself. The King said he would and Jack brought his mother to live with him. There never was a finer wedding before nor since than when the three king's daughters got married to-gether, and they all lived happy ever after.
