Logwood to give heliotrope(I got this also from the same sources)

The father asked to put the son to death and that he'd then give the secret. This was done. When he, the father, was then asked he said that he'd die before he'd reveal the secret. He too was put to death. He got the son put to death first as he was afraid that if he'd consent to die first that the son would give up the secret
