   Some years ago clogs were worn in this district. They were the same as any ordinary shoes only the uppers were leather and the heels and soles were timber.
   Guttapercha shoes were worn. The uppers of them were leather and the heels and soles were guttapercha. You could not go near the fire with them as the guttapercha would melt and stick to your feet.
   Loipíns were also worn in this district. They were vamps of stockings knitted very thickly and travelling people use them to preserve their feet from the
