A giant threw it from this side,
Look up: his face you'll see,
His head is on the mountain top
His feet are in the sea.
She was enchanted by this song, and at last they reached their home.
The local people were astonished to see such a beautiful young lady.
Where the bridal couple came between the mountains Lorcan said to Kathleen "As far as your eye can see is your."
When she looked around she could see nothing but high rocks, and feeling that her husband had deceived her she collapsed on the spot. Lorcan was boken hearted, and seeing Kathleen was dead he threw himself into the lake close by.
The neighbours were astonished to find the beautiful bride was dead and they buried her in the valley of "Sweet Glenmore"
This story was told to me by my mother.
