As she goes round the circle she asks "who lost a little bag of blue, was it you'? and she says to the girl behind whom she dropped the handkerchief, "it was you'.
When she says this she runs through the crowd. the girl who has got the cloth has to run after her, in and out of the circle, in the same direction and in the same place in which the other ran. When she fails to do so she is put in the middle of the circle and is called "a Goose".
If she catches the girl who gave her the bag she takes it herself and goes round as the first girl did. The game continues thus until each girl has been called 'A Goose".
No4. Hide and Seek.
This game requires a good deal of space. It is played in this way. One girl, called "The Counter", places the players in a row and says "Hide and go seek a penny a week, one, two, three." This is said once and the person she touched when she says 'three' is the hider. A small corner of the play-ground is used as den in which the hider stands and covers his eyes. He counts 100 slowly to allow the others time to hide. Then he looks round and goes in(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
