    Defender of the Gael.
    Your voice rang clear on listners ear
    From far Australia's shore,
    With lightning speed, it did impede.
    The mighty Ocean's Roar.

    For which your flag unfurled.
    In every clime where sun doth shine
    It floats o'er all the world.
    In accents bold, you did uphold
    Your land of Saints and sage;
    Your name shall roll from pole to pole
    On history's brightest page.

    From peasant home to palace dome
