- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)The Gallan:This is a path leading from the plantation to the Glenmore path. It is very narrow and straight. Another path through Slieve Foy joins the Gollan and leads to Glenmore.Long ago it is said that there were roads from Carlingford to the top of the mountain, and that people took their horses and carts up to the bog for turf. They were also able to travel to Lake Sionnach. One day a horse ran away, and fell into Lake Sionnach and was drowned.
6) Priest's Path:This is a path through Irish Grange from Castletown Cooley, to Grange Church. As far as my people remember it was Fr. Murphy who travelled on this path going to say Mass in the Penal days.
