   And a plain white dress she wore,
   When first I saw the Maiden Queen
   The Pride of Sweet Glenmore.

   Young Mary was the fairest
   That e'er appeared to me
   Her hair hung o'er her shoulders
   Most glorious to see.
   I would give all Ireland and all its costly [?]
