- Get half a can of ground oats and put it into half a can of water and leave it there for three or four days. Then take it out and strain through a cloth bag. Next boil the water that was strained and it gets thick like stir about; put on plates with new milk and eat it.
- Get "Yeast" and mix it up on flour and wheaten-meal. Leave a hole in it until it rises. Then break a bit, mix it up and make a hole in the middle and bake it. This will make a big cake. Then break a bit off it and so on. You could make cakes for years without making any more new ones. It is a very wholesome bread.
