- Hidden TreasureLong ago there lived in Kilbride castle a man named Shelbourne. One evening about dusk a woman came and asked for lodging. The inhabitants gave her lodging and as they sat around the fire she told them of how a cave opened in under the castle and in it was a little cell which was always lit up and that on a table in that cell there were several crocks of gold which were guarded by a little man with a sword who fell asleep for five minutes every seven years. She also told them that if one managed to get a handful of the gold while he was asleep he would get the whole lot.
