    The autum now is far advanced,
    And shorter grows the day,
    Yet still we see some meadows prime,
    Now rottening o'er the way,
    There is not a man in Royal Meath
    No matter what's the pay,
    Would set foot upon the land
    To save the rancher's hay.
    A gang of loafers were sent here,
    To work they don't know how,
    They always take it easy oh!
    And this they're doing now
    They are well supplied with double ex,
    A barrel every day,
    I doubt is that conducive for the saving of ranch hay,
