- St Bridgid's well is on the hill of Maol. A patron day used to be held there on the second of February.Crowds of people used to assemble there. They used to rise bottles of it for cures. There was a man named Mr Coyle who lived in Whern and he had a bottle of it for fifty years and it never went bad. The same well is there yet.If fifty cattle went there for a drink they would all get a drink to the last one.
