Crookedwood. - I live in the townland of Benison Lodge. This townland is in the barony of Fore. Benison Lodge got its name from Mickie the Coiner. Mickie the Coiner's house was a lodge many years ago, and because he was in the townland of Benison the people called this district Benison Lodge. It is said that if you came down Benison Lodge bohreen after eleven o'clock you would see that man in the shape of a ball of fire hanging on a tree.There are sixteen families(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
