- Once upon a time a man had three sons. One of them would not keep himself clean. The father was ashamed of him.
One day his father said to him, "You will have to leave this place", "I will give you your fortune before you leave". The son said "I do not want a fortune". He got and iron bar, took to the road and travelled for some time. At last he came to a house, and the master put him to mind cattle. One day he took the cattle further than usual. That night when he came home the cows gave more milk than ever.
The next day he did the same thing and they gave still more milk. On the third day he took them along till he came to a high wall, he broke a hole in the wall, and drove the cattle through the gap. This happened to be a giant's place, he was not long there will a giant with teeth a perch long came up to him, the boy broke the teeth and killed the giant. That night the cows gave even more milk than ever before. The boy told his master what he(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
