My home district is the Downs.
It is a large district.
Nearly all the people live by farming.
The crops they generally sow are potatoes, turnips, mangolds, beet, oats, barley and wheat.
There is a small ruins and it is said to be the ruins of an old castle the walls are covered with ivy.
There are very few old persons living in this district, the oldest is about seventy three.
There is an ancient fort, it is very strange looking, there is a ring of small bushes and it is called the fairies ring.
People is afraid to pass it late at night.
The people long ago were very good at spinning, weaving and knitting.
You may get the remains of a spinning wheel in some of the houses.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
