- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)The special powers the Landlord claimed all royalties bogs, mines, and minerals, under woods and over woods and no tenant could carry a gun in his own land and seldom allowed to have one at all. The tenants were not allowed to cut timber or if they did they would be severely punished. The Parson collected tithes here until Daniel O'Connell got them wiped out in 1839. The tithes were for the up keep of the protestant church. They were collected in both money and kind. The people resented the collection. Battles were not fought on account of them.
