- There are many fairy forts in my district. There is a fort in my district where a woman named Gibney went to milk a cow, she used to gather sticks each morning. This morning when she milked the cow she left the can on a wall and went to gather a bundle of sticks around the fort and when she went for the can she got it under a lone bush and half of it was spilled. She saw a long, deep hole and lovely sticks in it and a woman gathering them. She nearly fainted. She went home, and she remembered locking the door and when she came home she got the door open. Mrs Kelly was coming with milk from a house. She used to take a short-cut across in fort. She had to come out through a hole, she left the jug one side of her. She just left it out of her hand, when she was lifted off her feet and thrown out in the middle of her own street. When she came to her senses she went in. About two hours after she though of the jug, and went out for it. She was told by another person that there was a man seen there. In Mulrean's fort near my grandfather's home a light is seen there and music heard in it. There is a fort in Downe's near my home and blue and red lights are seen in it. It is said that a man went out one day to cut firewood. He was caught and hung up on(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
