Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Long ago the people used to eat three meals a day. They used too work for two or three hours before breakfast. For the breakfast they used to have porridge and butter milk and sometimes potatoes. For the dinner they used to have potatoes, cabbage and onions and bacon.
    For the supper they used to have oaten bread and potatoes.
    In most cases potatoes were eaten at every meal.
    The milk that was used was got from cows and goats.
    There was no tables in some houses and a box was put in the middle of the floor as a substitute and sometimes a potato basket was put on a stool.
    The bread that was eaten was oaten bread. It was made from oaten meal and lukewarm water. It was then left up beside
