James Murphy of Tashinny was able to jump a five bar iron gate. - There was a very strong man who lived in Legan and his name was Hempenstall. He had a nickname and it was "the walking gallows", he was called this because he hung men by catching them by the neck's and throwing them across his shoulder and holding them there until they died.
