"Slap and Guess". - The person who was to guess bent down the head on the knees of a sitting person, who blindfolded the eyes of the guesser. The latter placed his open hand behind his back in such a way that he wouldn't be hurt to much. One of the company gave a good slap. Then the guesser might judge by the severity of the blow who gave it. If he guessed right they changed places.
"Skewer the Goose". - Two sat on the ground with the knees up. The elbows were bound beneath the knees with a short stick. The hands were tied in front of the knees and the toes touching those of the other. Each one tried to tilt up the other by the toes or with the foot.
They also played "Sow the wrong ear" (or long ear", and gave out riddles and rhymes galore, "The House that jack Built" "The Crab-tree" etc.
I never saw those games played where there was drink supplied.
