- About a hundred years ago my father told me that his father told him that there was a man digging for sand in a pit. When he had gone down about six feet he found a hard thing under the tool. He dug down further and what did he lift but a big pot of gold. The man was very poor and he was only too delighted to get such a pot of gold.
