My Home District
I live in the townland of Ballymacroly, in the parish of Granard, in the Barony of Granard
There are two families in my townland the Reillys and the Flynn. There are nine people in it and the types of houses in it are thatched houses.
Long ago my townland was called Mill Quarter and now it is called Ballymacroly and it got this name from families named Crawfords who lived there long ago.
There is one person over 70 years in my townland and her name is Mrs Reilly. They do not know any Irish and they cant tell in Irish, but they can tell stories an(continues on next page)- Collector
