- The following prayer is taught to children at an early age and handed down from father to son:-
"As I lay down my head to sleep,
To God I leave my soul to keep,
If any evil comes to me,
God give me my eyes to see,
My hands to help me,
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
God bless me on the bed the I lie on,
There are four corners on my bed,
There are four angels o'er my head,
And if I die before I 'wake
Almighty God my soul may take."
When a person dies around here they say "God be good to his soul" "God be good to him" "God rest him" "May he see the light and glory of heaven".
On bidding good bye they say "God be with you" On beginning all work they say "In the name of God".
The following story is told in connection with the Rosary. It happened eighty years ago. I heard it from my father Patrick Gray. A man named Garry Murtha lived in a hut on Crott Hill.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
