- If in the morning the sky is glassy blue, it will rain before evening.
A circle round the moon is a sign of storm, and the nearer the circle the farther the storm, and the further the circle the nearer the storm. If the stars come out after a rainy day there will be good weather.
A rainbow in the morning is the sailor's warning a rainbow at night is the sailor's delight.
The north wind brings the snow, the east wind makes us [?]
The south wind brings the rain, the west wind tosses our hair.
Very cold weather is a sign of a snow-storm.
After heavy rain there will be wind, after strong wind there will be heavy rain.
If the robin is in "the bush" in the morning its a sign of a bad day, If in the top of it is a sign of a good day.
If the crows are tossing up and down through the air it is a sign of storm.
If the midges are biting it is a sign of rain.
If the far away hills are blue it is a sign of fine weather.
If the sky seems blue and high it is a sign of good weather.- Bailitheoir
